They most certainly do. At the recent Commonwealth Games we had Georgina Singleton, Samantha Lowe, Michelle Rogers, Simone Callender all achieving Gold Medals. Other Female Judo champions include:
Kate Howey the Sydney Olympic Silver medallist
Karina Bryant Senior European Champion, Double World & Junior European Champion
Nicola Fairbrother MBE World Champion and Olympic Silver medal in the Barcelona games.
Sharon Rendle MBE 1992 Olympic Bronze medallist and former World Champion who is currently coach to the Australians Women's Team.
Diane Bell former World and European Champion who is currently British Senior Women's Coach
